Guangzhou University is a comprehensive university named after the third largest city in China. In 2000, five universities merged into the present-day Guangzhou University. The university boasts a history of ninety years and is a high-level university being developed under the support of the government of both the Guangdong Province and the Guangzhou City. Below we are going to provide some important files which are mandatory files before your Ph.D Thesis submission If any of these files is missed you will be unable to submit your Ph.D. Thesis.

Note: This information is based on personal experiences. It is not official. So, we do not take any responsibility if some forms or submission dates are changed. Therefore, stay connected with your department and professor and keep asking them about potential changes or requirements.
There are some critical issues that need your proper attention:
There are some critical issues that need your proper attention:
- Submission deadlines of forms for graduation:
- March 25-30 for the spring session
- October (10-15) for the autumn session
- But be assured of submitting these forms month before the deadline because these are in Chinese, and you will face plenty of problems either because of the language barrier or your own mistakes (maybe copy-paste cultureJ). Please do not copy-paste. You can fall in trouble by having signatures, again and again, leading to wastage of time.
- The second most important issue is the information provided in the template. You need to change the dates, major, supervisor name, or related stuff. Please do not consider it as already provided from department. This is just a template filled information for you to let you people understand how to fill basic requirements. Each department and major have different rules. Be careful about the dates as you need to span in three years for some forms and some forms its first year, 2nd year, or just year.
- You need to have proper printing; otherwise, you will have to face many problems. And, you must take signatures properly otherwise the result is suffering.
- Lastly, the forms can be changed from respective departments or graduate schools, so do not blindly rely on these forms. Its common habit, whenever we get something without effort, we take it for granted and forget the difficulties faced by someone and finally also land into same problem just considering it to be easier and piece of cake. So, stay vigilant and don’t take things easy. Yes, do benefit yourself from senior’s effort, but don’t just rely on it.

2. GU Thesis Latex Template Instructions
Please pay attention to following while writing your thesis;
- Use this package completely. Do not delete fonts or any other file because this is template from University for Chinese style thesis. So, your single mistake can lead to trouble.
- In addition, you need to install the fonts as given in the folder.
- Currently the latex file size is larger (unable to upload here), if someone need, let me know at my e-mail I will forward to you. However, you can read the pdf file below "read_me_thesis_instruction"
